Good Morning Beautiful, Soldiers in Christ!!

Title: THE SECRET OF WALKING IN STEP WITH YESHUA

From the beginning, God has wanted a walking partner.

God is looking for not only a clinging bride but also a walking partner. From the very beginning, God had a relationship with Adam and Eve that found them “walking in the garden in the cool of the day” (Genesis 3:8). God created man for the enjoyment of a walking relationship that involved companionship, dialogue, intimacy, joint decision-making, mutual delight, and shared dominion. God longs to walk with you, which is why his arms of grace have been pulling you into a closer walk with him.

I like to walk well hike with my dogs in the woods almost every day. And I like to walk with my husband when he can. We walk about 3 miles for now. I’m still recovering from surgery. I find I have time with my dogs and Yeshua. Yeshua listens to me and even speaks kindly in my ears.

The secret place is not the destination; it is only the catalyst. It is designed of God to establish us in an intimate friendship with him that is walked out through the course of our everyday lives. The goal we’re after is an everyday walk of unbroken communion with our Lord and friend.

Enoch was the second man in the Bible who walked with God: The first was Adam.

After he begot Methuselah, Enoch walked with God three hundred years, and had sons and daughters. So, all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years. And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him (Genesis 5:22–24).

Even though men began to call upon the name of the Lord in the early days (Genesis 4:26), Enoch was the first man to uncover the true delight of walking with God. He found something even Adam didn’t experience. He pressed into God until he learned how to commune with God through every facet of life. To find that dimension of relationship certainly required an intense spiritual pursuit, and then when he found it, the Lord made a graphic statement by taking him up to heaven.

By taking Enoch up to glory, God wasn’t trying to get us impressed with Enoch’s piety. Nor was God saying, “If you get to be as spiritual as Enoch, you’ll get taken up to heaven, too.” This was a unique experience God used to emphasize a specific point. God’s point was, “I love to walk with man! Enoch was the first man to truly walk with me, so I decided to highlight his example by doing something extraordinary with him. I took him up to paradise to underscore how much I value and desire a daily walking relationship with my chosen ones.” Enoch’s example continues to witness to all generations of the great zeal God has to walk with man.

When the zeal of God captures you, it will ignite you with a great passion to walk with God and to be his friend. Imagine being Enoch and living 365 years—and having this growing relationship with God! One can only wonder what glorious depths of intimacy Enoch uncovered. Perhaps Enoch’s heart longed so deeply for more of God that God grew weary of withholding himself. Maybe God’s heart was saying, “Enoch, you love me with such a pure and sweet passion, I don’t want to say ‘no’ to you anymore. I’m going to answer your prayer and show you, my face. Come on up!”

As you draw close to God, he will not likely take you up to heaven as he did Enoch. However, he does desire to reveal the beauty of his face to you. As we walk with him, he will open the Scriptures to us through the Spirit of wisdom and revelation and reveal to us the light of the glory of God that is to be found in him.

I suggest to buy the first book of Enoch, you will learn so much more.

When we walk with God, we enter the dimension where God unfolds the secrets of his kingdom. These are the paths that the ancients trod before us. Noah knew the secret of walking with God (Genesis 6:9), as did Abraham (Genesis 24:40). Through Christ, you can explore the glorious riches of knowing God like they did—and to even a greater degree because of the Spirit which has been given to us!

God wants to walk with us before he works through us. So, he will wait to act until he finds the right man or woman through whom he can work. To put it bluntly, God works with his friends. When God has a friend, divine activity accelerates. When God has a useful vessel that has been prepared for noble purposes, he will use that vessel. To illustrate, if you put a riding lawn mower in my garage, I promise you this—I will use it! Similarly, God will use the one who walks with him. But he’s looking especially for three crucial qualities: humility, faithfulness, and loyalty. He wants to work with friends who are loyal to him, no matter what. Even when circumstances would suggest God is unjust, his true friends continue to walk with him. So, the Lord will test our fidelity. When we prove ourselves his friends through the greatest calamities of life, we qualify as useful vessels.

Jesus was the quintessential example of a man who walked with God, he walked so closely with God that he was always in the Spirit, even when shaking himself awake from a groggy sleep. When I first wake up, I’m sometimes grumpy or dopey. But when they awakened Jesus out of a deep sleep, he silenced the storm! What an amazing attainment, to be awakened out of a dead sleep and be instantly in the Spirit.

The secret place is where we develop a walking relationship with God. We must develop a secret history with Yeshua before he gives us a public history before people. Hidden in the secret place, we learn what he’s looking for in friends, and we find out what pleases him. Our inner chamber with him becomes our training ground for a life that is rooted and grounded in love.

Jesus told us that he confides his kingdom purposes to his friends (John 15:15). Lord, I want to be your friend, your confidant, loyal to the death. I want to walk with you, talk with you, listen to you, hear your heart, and participate in your activities in this momentous hour. Teach me. Lord, to walk with you!

Serving in God’s Power

God can accomplish great things through us when we are submitted to his purpose.

Do you have a vision for your ministry? Are you struggling to fulfill that vision in your own strength and with your own abilities? Have you given up on a vision you once had? Are you overwhelmed with the enormity of your leadership responsibilities?

Women in leadership are capable people. We have talents and abilities and are often natural leaders. Yet in order to fulfill what God has planned for our lives, we must submit to his way of doing things. We need to slow down so that we can listen, trust, prepare, and wait for God. Only then will we see the divine fulfillment of the dreams he has placed in our hearts.

SCRIPTURE: Genesis 13:14–18; Joshua 1:1–9; Matthew 28:16–20

Our vision is a part of God’s all-encompassing vision for the assembly.

Our dedication to the process of the dream will determine our future and long-term success in the kingdom of God.

Envision your dream and walk it out through faith in God and his ability to work through you.

Matthew 9:20-22

20 Just then a woman who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak. 21 She said to herself, “If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed.”

22 Jesus turned and saw her. “Take heart, daughter,” he said, “your faith has healed you.” And the woman was healed at that moment.

Mark 5:25-34

25 And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years. 26 She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse. 27 When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, 28 because she thought, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.” 29 Immediately her bleeding stopped, and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering.

30 At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from him. He turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched my clothes?”

31 “You see the people crowding against you,” his disciples answered, “and yet you can ask, ‘Who touched me?’”

32 But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it. 33 Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came, and fell at his feet and, trembling with fear, told him the whole truth. 34 He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.”

Luke 8:43-48

43 And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years,[a] but no one could heal her. 44 She came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak, and immediately her bleeding stopped.

45 “Who touched me?” Jesus asked.

When they all denied it, Peter said, “Master, the people are crowding and pressing against you.”

46 But Jesus said, “Someone touched me; I know that power has gone out from me.”

47 Then the woman, seeing that she could not go unnoticed, came trembling and fell at his feet. In the presence of all the people, she told why she had touched him and how she had been instantly healed. 48 Then he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace.”

ABOUT TIME TO LIVE AGAIN

I am going to adventure out of my miserable life and go back out in the Hair Salon world. This time I’m older and wiser with Yeshua’s guiding me with His strength. I have to make sure I have time to rest in-between work times. I’m actually excited! For years I’ve taken care of my son, my husband, my animals and the household. Yes, it’s time for me to go back styling more hair than just in a little salon booth renting. Oh, it has been fun but very slow and no one to hang out and be goofy and laugh with.

I had told my husband that it’s my time now. He thought I was ready to leave him. Oh, yes that was a thought of mine. But Yeshua said, “Why don’t you go back to what always made you happy?” I am going to keep doing my podcasts and newsletters. And I’m still writing my books too. I won’t stop taking time for me and go to my writers’ retreats every three months for me. I will keep self-caring me. Yeshua has blessed me to find a hair salon that will appreciate all of my skills and have lots of clients for me. I can make up my own schedule and my own prices. I pray I’m doing the right thing. I think I am!

My life will be changing soon, only Yeshua knows what’s in store for me next. I’m just trying to be obedient and trust Him. I really thought I wouldn’t and couldn’t cut hair and stand for hours. But Yeshua told me you don’t have to, but you’ll still be doing what I made you to do. And that’s a ministry to Him too. He’s right I just need to get out of the house and enjoy my life more. Living with a man who doesn’t respect me anymore and my son is moving far away to have his own life. I am so proud of him. It’s about time! Like I said I won’t be working too much just two days a week about five or six hours a day. I’ll be okay that’s what I keep hearing from Yeshua. At least I’ll see a smile on my face again and I’ll be happy again too.

Meet Miriam: Moses’ Sister and Prophetess During the Exodus

Moses’ sister, Miriam, accompanied her younger brother when he led the Hebrew people in their escape from slavery in Egypt. Her name in Hebrew means “bitterness.” Miriam was the first woman in the Bible to be given the title prophetess. Although her jealously later in life led to disaster, Miriam’s quick wit as a young girl helped change the course of Israel’s history by protecting its greatest spiritual leader.

Question for Reflection

Miriam might have avoided God’s judgment if she had paused to examine her interior motives before criticizing Moses’ choice in a wife. We can learn from Miriam’s bitter mistake. What we deem “constructive criticism” may result in our destruction. Do you stop to consider the motives of your own heart before critiquing someone else?

Moses’ Sister in the Bible

Miriam first appears in the Bible in Exodus 2:4, as she watches her baby brother float down the Nile River in a pitch-covered basket so he would escape Pharaoh’s order to kill all male Jewish infants. Miriam boldly approached Pharaoh’s daughter, who found the baby, and offered her own mother—Moses’ mother too—as a nurse for Moses.

Miriam was not mentioned again until after the Hebrews had crossed the Red Sea. After the waters swallowed up the pursuing Egyptian army, Miriam took a timbrel, a tambourine-like instrument, and led the women in a song and dance of victory. The words of Miriam’s song are among the oldest poetic lines of verse in the Bible:

“Sing to the Lord, for he has triumphed gloriously; the horse and his rider he has thrown into the sea.” (Exodus 15:21, ESV)

Later, Miriam’s position as a prophet went to her head. She and Aaron, also Moses’ sibling, complained about Moses’ Cushite wife and rebelled against their brother. However, Miriam’s real problem was jealousy:

“Has the LORD spoken only through Moses?” they asked. “Hasn’t he also spoken through us?” And the LORD heard this. (Numbers 12:2, NIV)

God rebuked them, saying he spoke to them in dreams and visions but spoke to Moses face to face. Then God struck Miriam with leprosy.

Only through the pleading of Aaron to Moses, then Moses to God, was Miriam spared death from the dreaded disease. Still, she had to be confined outside the camp seven days until she was clean.

After the Israelites had wandered in the desert 40 years, Miriam died and was buried at Kadesh, in the Desert of Zin.

Accomplishments of Miriam

Miriam served as a prophet of God, speaking his word as he instructed. She also was a unifying force among the cantankerous Hebrew people.

Miriam was first of many musical women in the Bible.

Strengths

Miriam had a strong personality in an age when women were not considered leaders. No doubt she supported her brothers Moses and Aaron during the arduous trek in the desert.

Even as a young girl, Miriam was a quick-thinker. Her nimble mind and protective nature quickly devised a brilliant plan that made it possible for Moses to be raised by his own mother, Jochebed.

Weaknesses

Miriam’s desire for personal glory led her to question God. Miriam rebelled not only against Moses’ authority but also God’s. If Moses had not been a special friend of God, Miriam might have died.

Life Lessons from Miriam

God doesn’t need our advice. He calls us to trust and obey him. When we grumble and complain, we show that we think we can handle the situation better than God.

Hometown

Miriam was from Goshen, the Hebrew settlement in Egypt.

References to Miriam in the Bible

SCRIPTURE SATURDAY

SCRIPTURE SATURDAY  GOOD MORNING WARRIOR SISTERS!!  The Song of Moses and Miriam 15 Then Moses and the Israelites sang this song to the Lord: “I will sing to the Lord,     for he is highly exalted. Both horse and driver     he has hurled into the sea. 2  “The Lord is my strength and my defense[a];     he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him,     my father’s God, and I will exalt him. 3  The Lord is a warrior;     the Lord is his name. 4  Pharaoh’s chariots and his army     he has hurled into the sea. The best of Pharaoh’s officers     are drowned in the Red Sea.[b] 5  The deep waters have covered them;     they sank to the depths like a stone. 6  Your right hand, Lord,     was majestic in power. Your right hand, Lord,     shattered the enemy. 7  “In the greatness of your majesty     you threw down those who opposed you. You unleashed your burning anger;     it consumed them like stubble. 8  By the blast of your nostrils     the waters piled up. The surging waters stood up like a wall;     the deep waters congealed in the heart of the sea. 9  The enemy boasted,     ‘I will pursue, I will overtake them. I will divide the spoils;     I will gorge myself on them. I will draw my sword     and my hand will destroy them.’ 10  But you blew with your breath,     and the sea covered them. They sank like lead     in the mighty waters. 11  Who among the gods     is like you, Lord? Who is like you—     majestic in holiness, awesome in glory,     working wonders? 12  “You stretch out your right hand,     and the earth swallows your enemies. In your unfailing love you will lead     the people you have redeemed. In your strength you will guide them     to your holy dwelling. 14  The nations will hear and tremble;     anguish will grip the people of Philistia. 15  The chiefs of Edom will be terrified,     the leaders of Moab will be seized with trembling, the people[c] of Canaan will melt away; 16      terror and dread will fall on them. By the power of your arm     they will be as still as a stone— until your people pass by, Lord,     until the people you bought[d] pass by. 17  You will bring them in and plant them     on the mountain of your inheritance— the place, Lord, you made for your dwelling,     the sanctuary, Lord, your hands established. 18  “The Lord reigns     for ever and ever.” 19 When Pharaoh’s horses, chariots and horsemen[e] went into the sea, the Lord brought the waters of the sea back over them, but the Israelites walked through the sea on dry ground. MARIM and other Warrior Women were singing too. With Moshe.
