THE START OF SUMMER

So, here we go, I have to tell you all about what happened to my hubby two weeks ago. Well, you see he was having sleep issues and not sleeping well. He decided to buy an expensive mouthpiece to actually help him sleep better. Of course, the V.A sent him a sleep contraption, it looked like he was going to be Dark Vadar and travel to space with the hose, that looked like a space helmet. It looked like he would flout away. Plus, he didn’t like it at all. I could understand.

So, let’s see how I will tell you what actually happened. He was pressing into the mouthpiece that has a way to tighten and loosen with a tiny screw. He was holding the mouthpiece in his left hand and pressing into the tiny screw with a tiny screwdriver. My sweet hubby stabbed himself in the palm, between the thumb and index finger. Of course he pulled it out fast. Then he cleaned it as good as he thought he did. And then kept his hand above his heart to take down the swelling.

He waited two days and then I said we should probably get some antibiotics in case of an infection. Oh no! Not until we went to go visit his friends at the motorcycle shop. It took his friends to convenience him to go into the walk-in clinic. We went to the walk-in clinic. The doc there didn’t really help much. Not surprising.

After two more days, my hubby finally decided to ask me to take him the emergency room at the hospital. At 10:30 pm, I drove him to the emergency room. There was no one around but of course the doctors and nurses were nowhere to be found. So, about 45mins go by and my hubby’s hand is inflamed and hurting bad. We finally go into the room to see the emergency doc. He said you will need a CT scan and wait.

The doctor finally spent some time it took till 3:00 am before the doc helped my hubby. The doc did a little outpatient surgery. He numbed his hand a little bit and cut and cleared out the infection. My hubby had so much pain after the numbness went away. I’ve never seen my sweet husband go through so much pain before. It was so hard for me to watch. It took tell after 6:30am before the nurses gave him pain killers. Wow! I was so anxious and worried about his heart beating so fast because of the horrible pain.

He had to stay in the hospital for 4 nights, just for an accident. As we are getting older, I have noticed it’s been harder for my hubby and I to do things we used to be able to do for years. So, I will keep believing that Yeshua will make us new in His New Kingdom. I look forward to that day and I know my husband does too. Thank you for all of your prayers and care for us.
