MY EXPERINCE IN VOLUNTEERING

My experience in volunteering over the years has been enlightening. I started years ago helping at a soup kitchen serving meals to people of all kinds. The salon I worked at put Christmas packages with gifts and lots of food. We dropped them off to people we knew that were struggling that year. It was a lot of fun. They never expected it ever. Then I would buy extra food, like a very large bag of potatoes or onions and give to my neighbor half of the bags.

Later on, when I accepted Yeshua/ Jesus. I volunteered at a youth center called Youth for Christ. In Stanwood, WA. It was the best volunteering I have ever done. To hang out with the teens, ages from 12 to 18years old. I got to help them with their homework and got to share my testimony. We played games, such as pool, air hockey and Foo’s ball. I got to help organize an outing to go have fun on the water. We went to volunteers’ home and had bible study and then played on the water for hours on water skies. I surely miss those teenagers.

Then I volunteered at the Gospel Mission in Chehalis. My son and I volunteered there. It was right after I was starting to feel better after my thyroid storm. Yes, my thyroid was shutting down. It was very scary. Praise God I got through it with my doctors help and a lot of pray. Anyways, we enjoyed cooking breakfast for all the people, I heard later that most everyone missed me after I had to leave. They missed my Italian eggs with veggies.

So, that’s some of my volunteering experiences. I do have a few more. But for now, I just wanted to share some of them. I let you know a little more about me.

MY PRECIOUS CATS

I would like to talk about my sweet, spunky and aloof felines. Daisy is my very aloof and sneaky cat. How to describe Daisy, she is definitely a princess all in all. When Rome fell the emperor’s cats still expected to be fed on their timetable. How to describe Menorah my son’s cat. He is an extremely independent and sneaky cat. As cats go this one has it all admiration an endless sleep and company only when he wants it. Although sometimes he’s very demanding for attention. How to describe Tom Boy the cat that lives outside. He’s my farm cat he’s very good at catching mice and keeping other cats away. He is very lovey and demands his food when needed. He is also a very brave cat. The only thing Tom Boy worries about is what’s happening right now. How to describe Bella, she is attention seeking and very playful. Course she is only seven months old. In ancient times cats were worshipped as gods, they have not forgotten this at all. I see this in Bella for sure. How to describe Blackie, he is only six months old. Well, he is loving and playful too. There are few things in life more heartwarming than to be welcomed by a cat. That’s Blackie. I think I truly found the cat that reminds me of my Charlie. As a little girl up to twenty-four years old, he was my buddy and loved me totally. What greater love than the love a cat. In a cat’s eye all things belong to those darn cats. As all of us know as cat owners nobody owns a cat Right? To complete this I have to say there is no home complete without the pitter patter of kitty’s feet and of my Daisy’s heavy pounding paws because of her chunky self.

BIBLE STUDY GROUPS

I have gone to a lot of bible studies over the years, and all of them have been exciting or just plain boring. My first women’s bible study at my church I used to go to in Everett, WA. We had worship together, talked a bit before the actual bible study and we prayed for each other too. I really enjoyed going every week to this bible study.

Later on, I moved and had to find women’s bible studies to try out. Well, that didn’t always work out. Sometimes it took me a few months to know I wasn’t learning anything, and I wasn’t growing at all. Then there were other bible studies I went to, and I knew right away to leave and never come back. These kinds of studies were very judgmental and extremely critical women in the church. I felt very uncomfortable.

I didn’t give up totally, yet I decided to keep looking after a while. So, I checked out a women’s ministry. They had bible studies at different people’s houses. I went and checked the different home studies. Some were awful and some were ok. I did find one lady and her study, and they read from the bible and followed a book. But mostly read scriptures out loud to each other. It really was a great place to go, and the ladies were so helpful and kind. I learned a lot from those beautiful ladies. A few years later I had to move. I moved far away from Everett area. I do miss them all a lot.

I live in the Lewis County area now. And it’s been a challenge for me to find a decent bible study to go to. Oh, I have tried. I found in home bible studies those were ok. And in the churches, I found some too. I went to one for a few years The ladies did not want to hear what I had to say about what’s going on in the world and how it fits bible prophecy. I got frustrated and wiped my feet from those women. Interestingly, look what just happened with the COVID plandemic event??!! Crazy uh? SO, I just kept looking and checking out different women’s bible studies. None were that great for a long time. Then I got invited to a home bible study with a friend. Well, I have to say that was an experience of a lifetime. I got invited to a lady that’s a 7th day Adventist. Shes trying to teach ladies to serve in a cult. Not much to do with Jesus/Yeshua at all. It actually scared me in a way. My girlfriend is still going to this cult as far as I know. It’s so crazy to know there’s this crap everywhere.

I have visited lots of different bible study groups since I’ve lived here in Lewis County. I thought about having a study at my house. But can’t yet, we still have lots of remodeling to do. I pray Father Yahweh will have that happen someday. I did go check out another women’s bible study this last week. It wasn’t bad but extremely boring. The weird thing I wanted to scratch my nails on a chalkboard just so the ladies could wake up. I know that sounds awful but that’s how I felt. The ladies were nice as far as I could tell. I probably won’t go back to soon. I won’t stop looking though. I’ll just keep keeping on. Right ladies?

ENJOYING BIRDS

I will talk about the different bird counts I’ve done in the past and up to now.

The Bird Count called Audubon Society: It is just for the scheduled bird sites they put together. I’ve been on a few of them. I mostly did these counts when I lived in Everett and then in Spanaway. Closer to the cites. I did do a couple of the counts when my son and I lived in Lacey, WA.

This Seagull was at the Ocean in Long beach.

The Bird Count called E-Bird that is the count that’s only 3 days of counting from your backyard. It’s made from the Birds and Bloom company. I got to send out my bird pictures to them. I had a couple of my photos in their Birds and Bloom Magazine. Now that was cool!

The Bird Count called Cornell Ornithology they have a count through a source called Feeder watch. This one I do every year. Starting on November 1st to April 30th. To watch how many birds come through where I live at my bird sanctuary in my backyard, wooded area. And by the Cowlitz river too. I enjoy hiking around and looking through my scope to find beautiful treasures from Yeshua/Jesus. He made such awesome and majestic birds. The other Bird Counts I do on my own in my wooded areas I live close too. When I hike my dogs, we go up, far up in the forest and I get to find all kinds of birds and even animals around too. My dogs get hyped up some, but I get them to settle down and then they seem to enjoy watching me look at these beautiful creatures.
